Gravesano Studio (Scale 1:5)
2015
Painted iron, lacquered plywood
345 x 210 x 12 cm

The starting point for Gravesano Studio (Scale 1:5) is the floor plan of the main studio in Hermann Scherchen's Experimental Electroacoustic Studio in Gravesano, completed in 1954. The sculpture is dynamic, as the audience can shuffle the elements, changing configurations in homage to the studio's acoustic malleability.

In the background, Workers on the Roof (2015) shows a photograph taken from a letterhead used by Scherchen to advertise the studio's establishment, enlarged and printed on a PVC tarpaulin.
