LC in the Bijlmer is a video installation comprising a voiceover and two projections: a 3D architectural animation of a pavilion on the left and a series of photographs, maps, screenshots, and illustrations on the right. These visuals punctuate different moments in the narrative.

We were initially commissioned in 2010 to design a semi-permanent pavilion for The Bijlmer Art International, intending to mediate the thought of Brazilian artist Lygia Clark and serve a social function within the Bijlmer community. Unfortunately, our plans were disrupted when the event was cancelled in 2011. As a result, the work serves as both a critical contextualisation and an amplification of this unrealised project.

Despite the cancellation, we continued the collaboration, which led to new opportunities for developing our original proposal. We thoroughly investigated the conditions surrounding the commission and our response, opening new possibilities for imagining the pavilion.
