The sculpture was conceived as part of the Beyond Measure exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Trondheim to host a series of talks focusing on the methods and role of measurement in science, art, and society today. The round shapes of the carpet, benches, and canopy, as well as the materials such as wool, plywood, and coconut matting, aim to soften the environment and make it welcoming. The benches can be arranged individually or in groups; when aligned in a circle, they have the same circumference as the carpet. The drapery acts as a canopy under the skylight, connecting the ceiling and floor in a continuous line that frames the room.
