Neon, brass chains
Ca. 14 x 4 m, variable height

The installation's starting point is a 2009 ink drawing transposing a sentence from Pier Paolo Pasolini's Lutheran Letters, published posthumously in 1976. Later, the ink drawing provided the starting point for an immersive neon installation. The irregularity of the neon letters derives from the original drawing's blown ink. From the ends of each letter hang 170 golden chains that cascade down to the floor. Like extensions branching off the words, the chains create a sensory environment for the spectator to traverse.
